Making Process
- Step 1 of the recipe is to warm the cheese and meats for five minutes.
- Goal: Heat the meats and melt the cheese for a tender, tasty filling.
- Heat 3 ounces of corned beef and 3 ounces of pastrami in a skillet or steamer over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes, or until well heated.
- Place two provolone cheese slices on top of the meats and let them melt for one minute.
- Toast the roll for two minutes in step two.
- The objective is to lightly crisp the bread without sacrificing its soft interior.
- Cut the sub roll lengthwise in half.
- Toast for approximately two minutes, or until the edges are golden, in a hot skillet or toaster oven.
- Build the sandwich in step three (3 minutes)
- The objective is to layer each component for the ideal bite.
- Cover the bottom half of the toasted roll with 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise.
- Add the melted cheese mixture and the heated meat.
- Over the top, drizzle 1 tsp Italian dressing and 1 tsp spicy brown mustard.
